Vincent Marazita, a member of the MIA (Marble Institute of America) and the BSI (Building Stone Institute), is the president & owner of Stone Trends International, a consulting / education firm specializing market research and seminars in the natural stone industry around the world.
After graduating from Harvard in 1981, Mr. Marazita lived in Italy for 6 years, teaching in the Architectural Department at the University of Genoa in Northern Italy. He came back to the USA as a consultant for the Italian Government (ICE – Istituto per il Commercio Estero) and has worked in the international dimensional stone industry since 1986.
Mr. Marazita has served on the National CES Quality Control Committee for the American Institute of Architects, he served on the jury for the National CES AWARDS for the AIA, He was the Education Director of the Marble Institute of America and was a contributing editor to the Marble Institute’s Design Manual, and currently he is a member of the Quarries committee for Sustainability in Natural Stone Processing (NSF 373). For the last 16 years, Mr Marazita has also delivered the state of the industry speech “STONE TRENDS” during international design Industry trade events and, together with Veronafiere, he organizes and acts as the head course tutor for the international architectural conference, “Designing with Stone”, held annually in Verona, Italy during the Marmomacc trade show, with other similar conferences in the USA, Canada, Italy, England, Hungary, Portugal, Brazil and Egypt.
