The 2017 edition of Marmomac – in collaboration with the Ministry of Economic Development, ICE-Italian Trade Agency and Confindustria Marmomacchine – once again presents The Italian Stone Theatre: the Hall dedicated to culture, training and experimentation with stone developed thanks to the Special Made in Italy Promotion Plan.
Curated by architect Vincenzo Pavan and designer Raffaello Galiotto, The Italian Stone Theatre has established itself as a focal point for culture and experimentation where Italian companies involved in materials, technologies and machinery can dialogue to give life to ambitious projects with internationally renowned architects and designers.
Divided into three areas set up in Hall 1, the exhibition spotlights crucial aspects of stone design from conception to the production of prototypes.
Conventions, conferences, lectio magistralis and seminars are scheduled in the Forum Area, a space set up in Hall 1 dedicated to meetings between architects, designers, engineers, technicians, sector professionals
The name of the project - Rosso Verona seeks to pay homage to the city of Verona itself, its history and architecture characterised by ammonite red marble, Prun stone and tuffs in buildings since Roman times
